Randall Kies serves as Senior Vice President of Growth and Development of the 12 award-winning restaurants forming Lark Creek® Restaurant Group, a Bay Area-based company dedicated to seasonal farm-fresh fare and quality fine dining service.

With more than 25 years of experience in marketing, brand innovation and operations leadership with start-ups and Fortune 500 organizations, Kies’ extensive background has laid the foundation for his senior position with Lark Creek Restaurant Group. As Senior Vice President Growth and Development, Kies is responsible for expanding Lark Creek’s business through both traditional restaurant development as well as creating new business opportunities in catering, non-traditional venues, license agreements and management contracts.

“My hope is to help Lark Creek grow as it has in the past, one step at a time,” says Kies. “The watchword for our new growth will be nothing less than the same quality of operations the Company has exhibited over the past 20 years.”

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering at Northwestern University, followed by an MBA from the University of Chicago, Kies began his career in package goods with Procter & Gamble and The Clorox Company. Following his passion for food and beverage, Kies joined PepsiCo International and held marketing assignments in Mexico City and Sydney, Australia. As a Vice President of Marketing for Brinker International he helped grow Chili’s Grill and Bar into the second largest casual dining restaurant chain in America. He was next recruited to lead the revitalization of the Black Angus Steakhouse brand as the Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, followed by a position as Vice President of Business Development for LiveOps’ Foodservice Channel.

Prior to joining Lark Creek Restaurant Group, Kies most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Operations for Vino Volo, a start-up chain of ten award winning wine bars/specialty retail stores.

In his spare time, Kies is active in marketing non-profits, fundraising and grant writing, and enjoys traveling.
